Fishing remains good at Bush’s Landing area. Fishermen that are going west towards Prairie Chicken, Charlie, & Cheyenne are doing well. Did have a report yesterday 4 guys in a boat started fishing at 1:30 & were done at 4:30 with some pretty nice walleye. They started their day at the main point of the boat ramp at Bush’s Landing, fishing in 20-30 ft. of water using nightcrawlers .

There are a lot walleyes that have moved into the Bushes Landing area. With the warmer water temperatures in July the fish are moving to the deeper water. This week they have been ranging from 18 to 26 foot deep. The best reports are coming from the Cheyenne River area, Prairie Chicken, and Charlie Creeks. The best presentation is still a plain hook with a 5 ft. leader tipped with a nightcrawler, leech, or creek chub. It looks like the bite should be good for several days on the account of the number of fish we are seeing. A lot of big smallmouth bass are being caught in the shallower waters near rocks, weed beds, and sunken islands. |
